Urs-Vito Albrecht, MD studied at the Hanover Medical School in Hanover, Germany and graduated in 2001. His doctoral dissertation was on forensic medicine.
He completed his subsequent clinical training in internal medicine and emergency medicine at Siloah Hospital of the Hanover Clinical Center. During this time, he developed the concept for arpadi® with the goal of improving the interaction with patients who were not fluent in the national language of the host country.
In 2004, Dr. Albrecht was accepted as a visiting post-doctoral fellow in the Sobell Department of Motor Neuroscience and Movement Disorders of the Institute of Neurology of the University College London. Currently, he is working on the development of computer-assisted methods for the quantification of focal dystonia.
An international project team composed of native speakers and translators contributed to the realization of arpadi®. It was developed based on well-grounded practical experience in the border- and language-crossing profession that is medical care.
